Competence Center - Traffic Environment for Older People and People with Disability

Our research will improve the conditions for older and people with disability in traffic

The research group pursues research in the field of traffic planning, with focus on older and people with disability.

The research comprises the outdoor environment/walking environment, public transport, special transportation service and car traffic, and it is intended to increase safety and accessibility/usability in traffic and in society for older and disabled people, with increased mobility, activity and participation as the ultimate goal.

The Competence Center is a part of CASE (Centre for Ageing and Supportive Environments), an interdisciplinary centre of excellence with funding from FAS and involving research teams from the Faculties of Medicine, Engineering, and Social Sciences.
